September 30th, 11am-2pm, at Striker Field.
- THE PARK. An 8 acre community park just north of Crescent Village. See the layout below.
- It has a huge playground, walking paths, a picnic shelter, restrooms, large lawn areas, and a space for live events and performances.
- There are Pickleball and Pétanque and basketball courts.
- (Yes. There will be lots of trees, but they aren’t planted yet.)
- THE PARTY. Northeast Neighbors lobbied for years to get this park built. Now come join the party to celebrate its opening.
- There will be free ice cream
, games for kids and adults,
Brazilian dance music, and a food truck with hibachi cooked meals and appetizers.
- Several local businesses will have tables with freebies and info about their services.
- Oh! And free cookies
courtesy of Eugene Parks and Open Space.
- From 11:30 to 12:30, there will be clinics for how to play Pickleball and Pétanque.
- At 1 pm there will be a drawing for giving away $880 of gift certificates donated by local businesses. The tickets are free. Just stop by the Northeast Neighbors booth to get yours.
- Learn more about the clinics, the kids games, the business sponsors, and the gift certificates here.
- PARKING. Use the Crescent Village parking areas, which are an easy walk to the park.
- Or, just east of Crescent Village, turn from Crescent Avenue onto Grand Cayman Drive and follow it to the park entrance. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
